We’re what you call a second generation homeschool family, and I don’t take that lightly. Since our kids were little I started making printables, teaching homeschool classes, and running a Charlotte Mason Style Home Child Care Center….also known as The Lil’ Homesteaders (the name of my mother’s 4-H club when I was younger).
Teaching is truly a passion and is best served on the homefront. You can also download some of my printables for use in your own homeschool from this site.
I never imagined being a mother….let alone a mama to four beautiful children (and possibly more to come). But motherhood has been such a challenging blessing for me. From breastfeeding, dealing with PTSD, and natural parenting, to having a preemie in the NNICU I’ve seen some horrors. Of course Val has been by my side through it all, and I couldn’t have done it without him. You’ll see how we handle our ups and downs and I hope we can serve as a guiding light for anyone who needs it.
Since both Val and I grew up in a homestead setting, it was only natural for us to continue this tradition for our own children. We’ve been working on turning our little one acre property into a homestead and we’ve decided to share that adventure with you! Watch how it is growing, changing, and in some ways staying the same. As of right now, we are continuing to work on our home, put in additional garden beds, and expand the natural play area.
This Winter, we’ll be adding our beehives and a few fiber animals.
